No matter your issue, we’re here to provide compassionate support.
The ProActive Difference
Lisa Dolphin, our Occupational Therapist, is also a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC). The combination of this certification with her extensive knowledge and skills in infant feeding and development make her an incredible ally on your path to a successful breastfeeding relationship.
Lisa believes in empowering you to recognize your baby’s cues. How does my baby show me she’s hungry? How do I know when she’s full? Lisa will guide you on this journey. Because when you respond instinctively to your baby’s cues, you feel successful, and are empowered to trust your baby and your body. This releases you from the burden of watching the clock to determine your baby’s feeding times.
She’ll also take into consideration the entire “algorithm” of successful feeding, including baby’s gut comfort, and the social-emotional component of your breastfeeding relationship. For example, perhaps baby is uncomfortable because he’s only eating every three hours, and so he eats too much at a time and gets too full. Lisa will help you look at the whole picture and get to the root of the issue you’re experiencing.
Through family education and support tailored specifically to your baby and your family, Lisa will help your child become a lifelong eater, and bring ease and confidence to your breastfeeding journey.
