Lisa’s entire 20+year career as an occupational therapist has been exclusively in pediatrics. Prior to co-owning ProActive, she was blessed to work with infants, children and families at both an outpatient pediatric facility and a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Through her journey as a pediatric OT, a common theme has been described by the families she has the privilege of working with: “I wish we had started sooner” or “I wish I would have listened to my gut.” Lisa’s passion for early intervention is truly driven from her experiences helping infants and children of all abilities and their incredible families. She is wholeheartedly invested in understanding and addressing the “why” (root cause) of your child’s struggles because all children deserve to thrive, be curious, and full of JOY! Lisa loves celebrating the big and little successes with her patients and families.

Lisa’s trainings and certifications center around her devotion to early intervention and understanding the root causes of developmental and feeding struggles. Her advanced training and certifications include Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), Baby Jaws & Breathing: Nose to Toes ABC’S for Early Intervention, MNRI® (Masgutova Neurosenorimotor Reflex Integration), TOTs (Tethered Oral Tissues), TMR Level 1 and 2, NIDCAP certification, iLs (Integrated Listening Systems), SSP (Safe and Sound Protocol), Interactive Metronome, NMES for pediatrics, and SOS Approach to Problem Feeders and Picky Eaters. She has extensive training and continuing education in sensory processing issues, infant development, autism, feeding/swallowing disorders, transitioning children from gastrostomy tubes to oral eating, and cortical visual impairments, motor coordination, and learning issues.
