As a parent, you may have questions about your baby or child’s development. Sometimes, you wonder “is this normal?” or “should I be worried about…?” At ProActive, we encourage parents to trust their instincts and always ask questions!! While all children grow and develop differently, ProActive strongly believes all babies and children should feel good in their bodies, should not have to struggle, and that being proactive in starting therapy will result in best developmental outcomes. Your baby and child deserves to have concerns addressed now rather than “wait and see” if it gets better!
If you are struggling with breastfeeding and you need support, we can help! Perhaps you’re experiencing pain while nursing, or you’re not sure if your baby is getting enough milk. Maybe your baby is fussy during feeding and refusing the breast. Or, your baby was born prematurely or was medically fragile at birth, and you’re struggling to switch from bottle to breast. No matter your issue, we’re here to provide compassionate support.
ProActive therapists are dedicated to providing the expert care and support you will need to address your concerns!
Our team believes in empowering you to recognize your baby’s cues. How does my baby show me she’s hungry? How do I know when she’s full? ProActive will guide you on this journey. Because when you respond instinctively to your baby’s cues, you feel successful, and are empowered to trust your baby and your body. This releases you from the burden of watching the clock to determine your baby’s feeding times.
We’ll also take into consideration the entire “algorithm” of successful feeding, including baby’s gut comfort, and the social-emotional component of your breastfeeding relationship. For example, perhaps baby is uncomfortable because he’s only eating every three hours, and so he eats too much at a time and gets too full. We will help you look at the whole picture and get to the root of the issue you’re experiencing.
Through family education and support tailored specifically to your baby and your family, we will help your child become a lifelong eater, and bring ease and confidence to your breastfeeding journey.
You’re in the right place.
